User Permissions allow administrators extremely granular control over which users have access to what in Allpro Insulator. Whether to prevent snooping, avoid undesirable changes, or just eliminate access a user doesn’t need, there’s likely a permission for it.
While fine tuning user permissions can require a lot of minor adjustments, once permissions have been configured for one user, they can be copied to others and modified if needed. That means it’s not necessary to spend time combing through permissions for each individual user.
Permissions can be set to one of three levels: Read/Write, Read Only, and No Access. Not all three will be relevant for every permission. Take Delete Estimates for instance, there are only two real options for this permission: the user can delete estimates, or the user cannot. In such cases, only users With Read/Write access will be able to perform the action. Selecting either Read Only or No Access will mean the user does not have that permission, but it’s still recommended No Access be used to deny the permission. Using No Access avoids confusion by making it clear the user does not have permission.
User Permissions are sorted alphanumerically by the “Opens From” field, which indicates the form to which the permission applies. They can be re-sorted alphanumerically by any one of the columns by simply clicking the Field Name in the title bar. Clicking it a second time will reverse the sort order. The filter row at the top of the permissions grid can also be used to search for a desired permission. For simplicity, we’ll cover the permissions in their default sort order.
Some Permissions may not be needed or present, depending on whether you have the Advanced Features Module, QuickBooks integration, Planswift integration, the Allpro Insulator Online Web Portal (AIOWP), or the AIOWP Crew Edition. Where relevant, the related module or integration is noted in italics.

Delete Log Data
Determines whether the user can delete log data. Read/Write will allow deletion, Read Only and No Access will deny the permission.
Imp/Exp Cal Data
This is a legacy permission for a deprecated feature.
Customer List Report
Determine where the user can view reports generated from the Customer List form. Read/Write will allow access, View Only and No Access will deny the permission.
QB Customer Updates (QuickBooks Edition)
Determines whether the user can make changes to Customer information after the customer has been sent to QuickBooks. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Delete Customers
Determines whether the user can delete Customer entries. Read/Write will allow deletion, Read Only and No Access will prevent it. Access to this permission should be restricted to users who require it.
Delete Jobs
Determines whether the user can delete Job entries. Read/Write will allow deletion, Read Only and No Access will prevent it. Access to this permission should be restricted to users who require it.
Edit Customer Sales Rep
Determines whether the user can modify Customers’ default Sales Reps. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Rename Customers
Determines whether the user has access to the Rename Customer Utility on the Customer form. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Rename Jobs
Determines whether the user has access to the Rename Job Utility on the Customer form. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will deny it.
Dashboard Switching
Determines where the user can access other software users’ Dashboards. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Email Schedule Templates
Determines whether the user has access to the Email Schedule Templates section of Email Automation, Used for DSign and follow up messages. Read/Write will allow the user to view Email Schedule Templates and make changes. Read Only will allow the user to view, but not change Email Schedule Templates. No Access will prevent the user from accessing the Email Schedule Templates form.
Scheduled Email Message List
Determines whether the user has access to the Scheduled Email Message List form in Email Automation. This form displays a list of all pending and scheduled automated DSign Follow-Up Messages. Read/Write will allow access to the form, Rad Only and No Access will restrict it.
Archive
Determines whether the user has access to the Archive function on the Estimate List and Customer List, used to remove old or unneeded records from the list without deleting them. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will deny it.
Restore
Determines whether the user can restore records removed from the Estimate List and Customer List with the Archive function. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will deny it.
Automation: Create Mailing List (Advanced Features Module)
Determines whether the user can generate an email message list from contacts in the Estimate List and Customer List for use in Email Automation batch messages. Read/Write allows access, Read Only and No Access prevent it.
Automation: Edit Mailing List (Advanced Features Module)
Determines Whether the user can modify existing Mailing Lists for use in Email Automation Batch messages from the Estimate List and Customer List. Read/Write will allows the user to make changes, Read Only will allow viewing, and No Access will deny all access.
Automation: Send Batch Email (Advanced Features Module)
Determines whether the user can generate batch messages that will be sent to a pre-configured Mailing List on the Estimate List and Customer List. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Automation: Update Job Dates (Advanced Features Module)
Determines where the user can perform bulk updates to the Job Dates of multiple entries on the Estimate List and Customer List forms. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.

Apply Discount/Markup Percent
Determines whether the user can set a discount or markup percentage on the Estimate to make broad pricing changes. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Apply Profit Margin Percent
Determines whether the user can make broad pricing adjustments by specifying a Target Profit Margin on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Change Price Style
Determines whether the user can change the Pricing Style of an Estimate between Markup and Discount. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Change Status
Determines whether the user can change the Status field on the Estimate form, selecting from Estimate, Invoice, Review, and Archived. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Change Tier Level (Advanced Features Module)
Allows the user to change the Tier Level (Tier 1, Tier 2, etc.) for Tiered Pricing on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Change Tier Type (Advanced Features Module)
Determines whether the user can change the Tier Type (Tier Leve/Job Location/Job Type) in Tiered Pricing on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Copy Estimate
Determines whether the user can copy an Estimate to create a duplicate from the Action menu on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow copying, while Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
- The Copy Estimate function should not be used to create numerous copies as this can cause database conflicts. Consider using Create Revision or creating a Template if frequently creating similar or identical estimates, as in track housing.
Customer/Job Tab
Determines whether the user can access the Customer/Job tab of the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow viewing but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Delete Estimates
Determines whether the user can delete records on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow deletion, Read Only and No Access will prevent it. Access to this permission should generally be limited to users who require it.
Delete PM Log Records
Determines whether the user can delete logs of price changes on the Estimate form and under View Logs in the Data menu. Read/Write will allow access and deletion, Read Only will allow viewing, No Access will prevent access completely. Access to this permission should generally be limited to users who require it.
Display Cost Columns
Determines whether the user can make view profitability information from the Margins tab at the bottom of the Estimate form. Read Write will allow the user to make the fields visible and make changes, Read Only will allows the user to make the columns visible, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Edit Comment in PM Log
Determines whether the user can modify existing comments in the PM (Price Manipulation) Log on the Estimate form and under View Logs in the Data menu. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Edit Estimate/Invoice Number
Determines whether the user can make manual changes to the numbers assigned to Estimates and Invoices; recommended setting is No Access. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them
- Estimate numbers are key to how records are organized in the database, and changes should be made with great care to avoid creating conflicts.
Edit Package Status
Determines whether the user can make changes to the Status of Packages on the Packages tab of the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow the user to make changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Edit Progress Date
Determines whether the user can manually edit the Progress Changed date on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Estimate Analytics Dashboard
Determines whether the user has access to the Estimate Analytics Dashboard from the Totals tab at the bottom of the Estimate form, which provides visual breakdown of profitability. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Estimate Comments
Determines whether the user can view or modify the Comments section of the Estimate form, generally used for sales terms. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Estimate Time Sheet
This is a legacy permission for a deprecated feature. Timesheets and Payroll Splits are now a separate function.

Full Details Tab
Determines whether the user can access and make changes to the Full Details tab of the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allows access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Import from Planswift (Planswift Integration)
Determines whether the user can import measurements from Planswift. Read/Write will allow imports, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Job Costing
Determines whether the user can access the Job Costing form from the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Job Sheet Tab
Determines whether users can access the Job Sheet tab of the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allows access but not changes. And No Access will prevent access altogether.
Line Item Description
Determines whether users can make changes to the Description field of items on the Full Details tab of the Estimate form. Note that changes made on the Estimate form will not impact Item Details entries. Read/Write will allow changes, Read Only and No Access will prevent them.
Lock/Unlock Packages
Determines the user can manually lock and unlock Packages on the Packages tab of the Estimate form. When a Package is locked, entries related to the package cannot be changed. Read/Write will allow locking and unlocking, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Manually Apply Tier (Advanced Features Module)
Determines whether the user can manually apply Tier Level Pricing from the Tiered Pricing tab on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow manual Tier Level Pricing, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Merge Documents
Determines whether the user can access the Merge Documents feature found in the Action menu on the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access, Read Only and No Access will prevent it.
Packages Tab
Determines whether the user can access and make changes to entries on the Packages tab of the Estimate form. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Payments Tab
Determines whether the user has access to the Payments tab on the Estimate form when the record status is Invoice. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Payroll Splits
Determines whether the user has access to the Payroll Splits form, used to enter hourly timesheet data and calculate splits for piecework pay. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Projected vs Actual Tab
Determines whether the user can access the Projected vs Actual tab on the Estimate form, where material usage is entered for costing and piecework. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Schedule Tab
Determines whether the user can access the Schedule tab on the Estimate form, used to create and manage appointments for the Job in SchedulePro. Read/Write will allow access and changes, Read Only will allow access but not changes, and No Access will prevent access altogether.
Set PO Amount
Determines whether the user can enter a PO amount on the Packages tab of the Estimate form, with the PO amount overriding the package to total. Rea/Write will allow PO entry, while Read Only and No Access will prevent it.

Internal Alerts Msgs
Determines whether the user can access Allpro Alerts Internal Notification Messages in the main toolbar.
Advanced Costing Wizard
Determines whether the user can access the Advanced Costing Wizard. Access to this form should be restricted to users who require it.
Allpro Alerts Log
Determines whether the user can check logs regarding Allpro Alerts internal notifications and under View Logs in Data.
Backup Data
No Longer Supported. Support for this feature that was deprecated when Allpro Insulator switched from using a Microsoft Access database to a Microsoft SQL database, which made it no longer possible.
Create/Access Estimate As

Edit Dropdown List
